Hawaii, Volcano and Drive to Hilo

On the way to the Volcano, we stopped at Punalu'u Beach which is a black sand beach and where the Hawaiian green sea turtle come to rest.

Then on the the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, which includes Kilauea Volcano. You drive around the Kilauea Caldera.

This is the Halema'uma'u Crater

Then drive down the Chain of Craters Road.

The end was covered by lava in 2003.

And a short walk to the ocean and you can see the steam from lava entering the ocean.
